You play as a giant called "Ben" who is taking revenge on the cities buildings for the death of his horse. The buildings can shoot back, they fire horse-carts and market stalls towards you. This game is not easy, but it is pretty easy to complete. The best part of this game is the way you can stomp around on the heads of innocent city folk. They splat all over the place, a lovely touch by the developers (devs). Great use of physics.
This game has the potential to be great, but is let down by a sloppy main menu.

Movies that should have been made into games

Some films get made into games, so I was thinking of films that havn't been made into games. I'll try and think of about 10 and give descriptions of what the games should involve.

1) Lord Of The Flies - In this game (which would be black and white gfx) the idea is to kill all of the other children on the island. You would be able to set traps like spikes which swing from a tree into the face of an unsuspecting enemy child. You would also be able to chase other kids with weapons such as hammers and double headed battle axe's. I would code it so that you can see the other kids scream for mercy just before you deliver a killing blow to their faces.

2) Children Of The Corn - In this game you play as an adult and must kill all of the children in the town. You can shoot them in the face or stab them in the eyes with a knife. The reason you have to kill them is simple - they have stolen all of the towns dogs and hidden them in a mine. You get bonus points for every dog you rescue. You get a free life if you manage to kill 5 female children in a row with the shotgun. I think it would be very cool and atmospheric to have this game in full solid wireframe 3D.

3) Lassie - 2D game where you have to collect all of the injured animals in the city. Once you have taken them to the safety of your barn, you can chop their legs and heads off and use them to make yourself more powerful. Once you get so powerful you can kill the city mayor and run for it yourself using terror as your election plan. Man this game would rock. Maybe certain sections would be cool in 3D. Music would be provided by Hans Zimmer

4)
5)
6)
7)
8)
9)
10)

Tokyo Game Show Report

Missed it all :(

The Originality of Games

With todays technology and a whole host of great games developers, we are starting to see some truly original games come out for the various systems. Babies will die if they witness this move. The idea is to sneak up on your enemy/opponent and quickly do a handstand, they will think you are in some kind of olympic gymnastic competition, but then you quickly grab both sides of their head with your feet and rip it off with maximum force.
Can be used against any style of attack, including hammer attack. Click on the pic (fig.1) for a more detailed look into this amazing manoeuvre.

All I got to say is

Don't forget it gamers.

Evil baddy names

When creating games developers often struggle to come up with decent names for baddies. As well as being able to play all of your fave console games (PS2, Xbox & Gamecube) as well as it's on exclusive ones. It has a sweet 2D and 3D renderer built in to it so I can create all types of games with all types of graphics styles, including wireframe. It also supports a double buffer for smooth graphics and screen flipping in cocktail mode.
Anyway, some games I'm working on are ...

Treasure Island Pirates - A game in which you control a group of pirates in modern day San Francisco and try to find all of the hidden television sets. You can collect birds and tissues for power ups. Watch out for the evil "Dr Doombad", he will attempt to ruin your chances of completing the game by throwing bridges at your group of pirates. Also, watch out for gays.

Geometric Wars - A game of strategy and cunning. Use the shapes (square, triangle and sphereloid) to crush the oncoming evil army - "The Filled Black Killoids". The game is creatively written in 3D and takes advantage shaders and stuff. The game will probably be set in modern day San Francisco.

Geometric Wars 2 - A game of strategy and cunning. Use the shapes (square, triangle and sphereloid) to crush the oncoming evil army - "The Filled Black Killoids". The game is creatively written in 3D and takes advantage shaders and stuff. The game will probably be set in modern day San Francisco.

Dr Doombad's Treasure Ilsand - You contol Dr Doombad and must try and kill off the evil pirates who attempting to steal the cities television sets. The game is set in modern day San Francisco. You can collect bridges and use them to throw at the pirates. You start the game with 63 lives, and you can lose them by accidently throwing bridges into the zoo. Be careful not to be shot by the local policemen. Also, watch out for gays.

Screenshots to be posted soon. I'll keep you dudes informed of other games I'm working on as I create them.

So how healthy is the games industry right now?

Answer = Pretty healthy (12%)
I'll keep you guys updated as I get the info.

PREVIEW : WING ISLANDS (Wii)

GFX : B-
SOUND : A+
PHYSCIS : d
ENEMIES : A+
GAME : 44%
SOUND : 92
TOTAL : 74%

Well what do we have here? It's "Wings Island" for the Nintedno Wii. The game looks awesome from that screenshot. You control 5 planes and have to kill pirate ships in the sea. The pirates can take down one of your planes by throwing swords and gold at them. You should avoid these at all costs. If you rescue the princess (all nintedno games have thesse) then you get an extra bullet for each of your planes, up to a maximum of 5 bullets. This is probably my fave game so far for the Wii, and it will be hard to beat. The comnibation of pirates and planes was genius and something I will have to consider for any future games I make for "The Cirumference".
I give this game a total of 58%.

Game information desk : part 2

<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; You can shoot computers and other high-tech equipment. It's all set in a futuristic room where you can go around shooting stuff. The aim of this game is to kill as many enemies as you can in the 1 minute time limit. You can collect "time capsules" which give you an extra 10 seconds to do killing, hence the game title "TimeShit". The enemies are invisible and can hide under the desks. There is an mp3 music player during the game (bottom left of the screenshot) which can play country music or hip-hop only. The point'n'click variety. Some of them are quite cool, but the all have 1 major problem - problem solving techniques. Examples ...

1) I need to get into a room in an old abandoned mansion. I have a hammer, some rope, a chainsaw and a pneumatic drill. I do not however have the key to the room. So I can't get in it just yet. Uh HELLOOOO why can't I smash the door down with my hammer or drill it open with my pneumatic drill??? And I suppose my chainsaw can't open old rotting doors can it?

I don't know which game has this scenario or those objects, but there is bound to be one and that game annoys the hell out of me. Can't think of any more examples either. Anyway on to the game ... As you can see there is plenty to do in this game. Enemy soldiers stand on one side of a wall and you and your soldiers stand the other side (nearest the camera). You try to kill as many of the enemy soldiers as possible without losing all your men. You have 4 men. Once an enemy soldier is killed another one will spawn in it's place. You get more points if you can kill an enemy soldier with a hammer. Your soldiers have thought boxes above their heads so you know what they are thinking. The buildings in the game are really cool and look like real buildings. There is black smoke throughout the game in the background. Enemy soldiers can charge towards you and try a kick/punch combo which is an instant kill. You cannot rape women in this game.
Overall then I really enjoyed this game and would reccomend it to anybody interest in war and guns.

Circumference offers

I've had a few offers from companies interested in my Circumference console. It feels like only yesterday I was playing Metal Gear Solid 2 : Sons of Liberty for my PS2. And here we are on the dawn on the 'Next Gen'. Xbox 360 gfx are much better than the Xbox. And the Xbox 3 (Xbox 720?) Will be even better when it comes out next year some time. But what we have to remember is that there are games that are so old that most of us have never heard of them. I've done some research into games from back in the day, to modern day and made a special montage to celebrate over 200 years of gaming. Obviously I didn't know what year some of the games were released so I guessed just by looking at the gfx. You just make up a game called 'Anti-Japan War Online'. It's being made by the Chinese you see. Here's the blurb from Gamespot ...

"This MMORPG is being sponsored by the China Communist Youth League to help create a sense of patriotism among China's exploding gaming community. I might make a game called "Anti-Norway Online : Kill the Bastards". I've got nothing against Norway, just used them as an example. Although if someone from Norway takes offence and wants a fight then I would probably smash their stupid snow-loving-dog-riding Norwegian face in. I've called it the circumference because it encapsulates round stuff in it's design. And something to do with sounding cool and "Next Gen". The clever thing about this console is that you can play PS2, Xbox & Gamecube games on it. The top row of stuff is a PS2 disc loader with 4 PS2 joypad ports, then on the next row is an Xbox disc loader with 4 Xbox joypad ports, and finally a Gamecube disc loader with 4 Gamecube joypad ports. Some of the consoles features ...

1) Can play PS2 games using Xbox controller or Gamecube controller
2) Can play Xbox games using PS2 controller or Gamecube controller
3) Can play Gamecube games using Xbox controller (not PS2 controller compatible)
4) If you put a PS2 game AND an Xbox game in at the same time then "Circumferece" knows to combine the 2 games. Example : If you put Pro Evo (PS2) and Halo 2 (Xbox) in at the same time then you can play Halo on a soccer pitch.
5) Has a pretty sweet on/off button and reset button.

I'm thinking about adding a VCR player into the side of the console so you can watch old movies while you play games. This would make the cost of the machine a lot higher though. Click the picture for the 411 on how everything will look.
Cost = 118,348 Japanese Yen.

Next Gen Wars - Xbox 360 vs PS3 vs Revolution

I have no idea who will win the next gen console war, but I know one thing for definate - it will probably be Sony and their PS3. I've been doing some research on screenshots for each console and the PS3 has the best ones by far. The Killzone screenshots are fake though. I havn't seen much of the Revolution console screenshots, but they will probably just be all colourful with lots of flowers dotted around because Nintendo only make games for small kids. The Xbox 360 is of course already released but I head that 68% of them are broken. Not good news for Microsoft. I definatly won't be getting an Xbox 360 but I might after Xmas.
I might design a console because I'm pretty good at drawing and I know what gamers want.

REVIEW - True Crime: New York City (PS2)

GFX : B+
SOUND : B+
PLAYABILITY : C
SIZE : A-
GAME : B-
TOTAL : 60%

Havn't actually played this game yet, but these are the scores I would give it. Most of them involve roaming around crapping looking landscapes killing oversized insects for a tiny amount of experience which you can then later put towards you overall skills. Skills that include things like baking, knitting, talking, sitting and other pointless things.
What I want is a game where you can really do anything you like. I want to be able to walk around a futuristic city (lots of neon lights etc) with a massive gun and be able to stick people up at gun point until they shit themselves and give me their credits (money). These would probably have to be NPC's but that's ok. Then I would go and spend the money on more ammo. I also want to be able to design my own fighting moves, so I can kill people with a punch/kick combo that I practiced. I will try to come up with some idea's for fighting moves tonight.
Also, it would be really cool if you could rape women in the game.

Old School Gaming!

Some of my older friends tell me that the really old games are the best because they have awesome "playability" unlike the games of today. So I'm going to put that to the test. I did a search for "old computers" on google and eventually found one called the "ZX Specktrum". It's so old that supposedly it was used to crack German codes in World War 2! Pretty cool. I have to download an "Emulator" to make it work. Basically, an "Emulator" pretends to be the old computer and can run games on your modern day PC. Pretty sweet.
So onto the games. I've chosen some of the supposed "classics" for this computer ...
1) Manic Miner
2) Samantha Fox Strip Poker
c) Peter Beardsleys International Football

Ok I've just played them all and I don't really know what to say. I suppose I should start with the gfx. They are shit. I mean really really shit. Theres about 3 colours on screen at any 1 time. As for "playability", well, ummm, There isn't any. On Manic Miner you can go left, right and jump. That's it. Samantha Fox made a strip poker game but I can't tell what is happening. I think she stripped off but all I could see was lot's of black and white pixels splattered onto the screen. I suppose in the olden days this was considered porn?! Peter Beardsleys International Football was shit as well. The pitch was about 100 times longer than the width which made it look really stupid. All the players were the same colour almost which was also stupid as hell. Pro Evo is much better. Peter Beardsleys game is probably about as good as Fifa though. I should email him and tell him to make a new game with better gfx and gameplay.

When I next see the people that told me to try this computer I will punch them in the balls.

Rag doll phyiscs routine, and crying routine

Knocked up a routine for rag doll physics. I can't give any examples of games which do this because I forgot which games state that they are realistic. But oh boy are those games wrong.

I like GTA San Andreas, but what I wish the game would let me do the following sort of things ...

1) I want to follow a pedestrian around for a while and for them to get suspicious of me and start acting nervous. Then they would start running and screaming as I chase them with a hammer, and once I have cornered them I want them to plead for their life. I want to see the fear in their eyes as I hold the hammer over my head ready to strike down into their stupid ugly face. Then I want them to start crying, and me to start laughing at them. Then I would just walk away and leave them there, crying.

2) Rag doll physics. I want to run someone over and high speed and see their body flop all over the place realistically as their bones shatter. I want to shoot people in the leg with a shotgun and watch them fall face first onto the concrete. Yea that would be sweet.
I can actually do a bit of programming so maybe I should type up some rag doll physics routines and send them to Rockstar for future versions of GTA.

Can't think of anything else I want in the GTA games. But if I do I'll be sure to write them here.

The new Killzone game

I saw the trailer for this during E3 and thought it was amazing. Not for about 10 years yet anyway.
Take a good look at that screenshot and ask yourself 1 very important question - "Can a console do gfx like that?". I think you will find the answer is "No".
I can't wait for the game to be released and for the gfx to be much worse in the actual game, so those bastards on the gamespot killzone forum can all shut their stupid mouths and realize that I was right all along.
